Therapy that makes room for all of you.

You may understand why you feel the way you do and still find yourself repeating the same patterns.

Maybe you overthink your relationships. You have a hard time trusting yourself. You take care of everyone else while losing sight of what you need. Or perhaps you’ve spent so much time trying to become who you thought you were supposed to be that you’re not entirely sure what feels authentic anymore.

Therapy can be a place to get curious about those patterns—not to judge or “fix” them, but to understand where they came from, what they have been trying to do for you, and whether they still fit the life you want to create.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel collaborative, curious, and human.

I don’t believe there is one “right” way to heal, and I don’t expect every person who walks into my office to benefit from the same approach. Together, we can explore your relationships, identity, experiences, environment, family patterns, and relationship with your body to better understand the larger story of who you are.

Sometimes that means talking.

Sometimes it means doing something entirely different.

As an expressive arts therapist, I may incorporate art, writing, movement, music, imagery, metaphor, or other creative experiences into our work. You don’t need to consider yourself creative or artistic. Expressive therapy isn’t about making something beautiful or doing an exercise correctly. It’s another way of exploring experiences that aren’t always easy to put into words.

And if something doesn’t work for you, we get curious about that too.

What it’s like to work with me

My style is laid-back, collaborative, and curious. I want therapy to be a place where you don’t have to perform, have the “right” answer, or already know exactly what you need.

We’ll pay attention not only to what is happening in your life now, but also to the patterns underneath it—how you learned to relate to yourself, how you connect with other people, what happens when you feel hurt or disconnected, and what your mind and body have learned to do to protect you.

The goal isn’t to turn you into a different person.

It’s to help you understand yourself well enough that you have more freedom to choose how you want to live, connect, and show up in your life.

Training & credentials

I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), with clinical licensure in California, Indiana, and Kentucky.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Human Services & Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College in 2009 and my Master of Education in Human Development & Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College in 2012.

I’m also a Certified Sex Therapist through the Institute for Sexual Education and Enlightenment and completed EMDR therapy training through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness. I’m currently working toward becoming a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT) through the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA).

My training informs my work, but I don’t believe therapy happens because of the letters after a therapist’s name. It happens through the relationship we build and the work we do together.

Psychotherapy services are available to clients physically located in California, Indiana, and Kentucky.
